Simon.S - dj, producer and promoter. Born in 1982 in Warsaw where he had his first contact with music. He used to be a successful ballroom dancer trained by Agustin Egurrola - head of the VOLT, one the best dancing teams in Eastern Europe. By age of 16 with couple of his mates he started a hip hop band named Tandem; he was a beatmaker as well as an Mc.
In the end of nineties he got interested in minimal music. That time he started to produce his own music. In Sep 2000, after Roger Sanchez's party Simon got more into the house music. Few months later he bought his first decks and started practicing. His first gig took place at the Apartament No.1 club in Warsaw and it was thrown by Thandile booking agency which started then to promote Simon.
In September 2003 he started to organize parties on his own. He played with many well-known and respected DJ's including Eric Prydz, Pete Tong, Bodyrox, Cassius, Seb Fontaine, Michael Gray, Sebastien Leger, Tom Novy, Pete Gooding, Jonathan Ulysses, Greg Vickers, Luke Brancaccio, Funkagenda, Tocadisco, Cut la Roc, Martijn Ten Velden, Benassi Bros., Micky Slim, Barry Ashword (Dub Pistols), Luke Fair, Olav Basoski, Dave McCullen, David Duriez, Greg Benz, Paolo Mojo, Stewart Rowell (Streetlife Djs), Livio, Blank&Jones, Westbam and Paul Thomas among others. In September 2007 he became a booking managaer at new club in Warsaw called Space, where he worked for 9months. Now he is focusing on a new club in Warsaw, which will be opened late September 2008..
Currently Simon is focused on producing his own tracks – mostly mainained in deep/progressive house. His remix of Filth 'People are sick' is released on SIC Recordings (along with The Buick Project remix) which is also a label to Martinez and High Society. He also released: 'This or that EP' on Canadian WiFi Records and 'Where is that girl EP' on Diverted Recordings Filth. Although 'Where is that girl' hadn't been released yet, its gaining much of interest already - the Trophy Twins played it in their BBC Radio 1 Aftershow. The `This or That` track was also licenceed for the Pole Folder`s compilation which was released on US label – Frisky Records (Frisky Radio)
`951 Gaspra` is the latest collaboration between Simon and Tobias Manou. Apart from being producers they are both prominent dj's. The new collaboration 951 Gaspra - though still in it's infancy - has already gained the attention of respected dj's and producers. With more tracks in production and their current backing their future looks bright...
